In 2012/13 the Spirit of Tasmania carried 330,698 passengers. Both boats (Spirit I & Spirit II) have staffed information booths on board providing visitor information to passengers. Council has negotiated a dedicated stand and discounted group rate for displaying brochure materials within these information booths. The rate offered has also been partially subsided by Council and is less than half the full rate.
Council is seeking expressions of interest from businesses to participate in this visitor information initiative. The cost to participate is $70 per month + GST, per brochure. Participants will need to commit for a minimum of 12 months and be able to supply 10, 000 DL sized (10cm x 21cm) brochures over the year. Brochure materials can be changed throughout the year, but initial stock of 2,000 needs to be available for display by 1 March 2014.
