Earth works and pavement work will continue in the area north of Williamstown Road while works on the port land to the north of Life Saving Victoria’s headquarters will resume. Following the experiences of some nearby neighbours, smaller sized equipment will be used which is expected to minimise impacts on local neighbours.
Night Works Tuesday 13th to Thursday 15th May
Night works will occur from 7pm to 6am along Williamstown Road, west of Todd Road. The work will involve asphalting the driveway for a temporary automotive laydown area, which put simply is secure car park for the short term storage of new vehicles. Driveway into Perce White Reserve, Wednesday 14th May
On Wednesday, the contractor will survey underground services along the driveway leading into Perce White Reserve. A lane within the driveway will be closed until 4pm and traffic controllers will be onsite at all times during this activity. Noise regulations apply to these works.
Upcoming closure of Perce White Reserve Mid-May to November
Later this month, part of Perce White Reserve will be closed to the public enabling work to start on the new boardwalk and landscaping. The beachfront, Lifesaving Victoria’s headquarters and the car park will remain accessible; however the main part of the Reserve will be fenced off.
Test piling at Webb Dock West near the auto terminal will continue along with the stripping of the salt marsh area within Webb Dock. Rocks, steel piles and other materials will be delivered throughout the week. Noise and vibration monitoring of the test pile works will also continue
